Good Saturday Morning! I hope each of you find something here today that you will be able to use. So let's start blogging.

How do you teach math to your preschool kids?

Number Poem

0...Around, around, around you go. That's the way to make zero!

1...Pull straight down just for fun. This is how you make a one!

2...Around and back on a railroad track is two. Twooo! Twooo!

3...Around a tree, around a tree, this is how you make a three!

4...Down, across, and down some more.
That's the way to make a four!

5...A back that's flat, a tummy that's fat,
then you put on the hat...five!

6...Down and around just for kicks this is how you make a six!

7...Across the sky and down from heaven.
That's the way to make a seven!

8...Make an "S" but do not wait.
Go back up and close the gate. Eight!

9...Make a hoop and then a line.
That's the way to make a nine!

Number Poem
Number 1 is like a stick.
A straight line that is very quick.
For number 2, go right around.
Then make a line across the ground.
Go right around. What will it be?
Go round again to make a 3.
Down and over and down some more.
That's the way to make a 4.
Go down and around. Then you stop.
Finish the 5 with a line on top.
Make a curve. Then make a loop.
There are no tricks to make a 6.
Across the sky and down from heaven.
That's the way to make a 7.
Make an "S" and then don't wait.
Go up again to make an 8.
Make a loop and then a line.
That's the way to make a 9.
Make a 1 and then a 0.
10 are all your fingers you know!

Number Poem
Down you run and 1 is done.
Around, and down, and out go you,
That's the way to make a 2.
Around, and around, just like a bee,
That's the way to make a 3.
Down, across, and down once more,
That's the way to make a 4.
Short neck, belly fat,Number 5 wears a hat.
Down, around, in a circle you go,
That's a six, just as you know.
Straight across, slide down from heaven,
That's the way to make a 7.
First a snake, then come back straight,
That's the way to make an 8.
First a ball and then a line,
That's the way to make a 9.
Tall straight, circle then,
That's the way to make a 10
1, 2, 3, 4, 5
One, two, three, four five!
Once I caught a fish alive;Six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
Then I let it go again.
Why did you let it go?
Because it bit my finger so.
